Re:tornado intensity
editSorry, my edit summary may have been unclear. I mean to say that the information you removed was correct. There have indeed been nine official EF5 tornadoes since the scale was introduced, but no tornado has been rated EF5 since the 2013 Moore tornado. Well, technically the 2013 El Reno tornado was given a preliminary EF5 rating, but that was downgraded to EF3 for some rather controversial reasons. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:14, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
- I restored the removal of excess detail for the Manchester tornado; I accidentally rolled back two edits instead of one. On the topic of frequency: the ocurrence of F5/EF5 tornadoes is highly uneven. While the the average frequency, overall, is less than one per year, some years may feature multiple F5/EF5 tornadoes. Six of the nine EF5 tornadoes on record were in 2011, which was an exceptionally violent year. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:22, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
- As to tornadoes outside the U.S. not all use the Enhanced Fujita scale; some are still on the older Fujita scale. So far, in the 21s century, only one known F5 tornado has been recorded outside the United States. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:25, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
Lat/long of gateway cities
editTerribly, terribly sorry, did not read closely enough, expected people to enumerate the cities in terms of latitude, not longitude. I'll go away and leave it alone, apologies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.gregory.retzlaff (talk • contribs) 01:30, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Re: Dust Bowl
editNo, I will not. The petty vandals of eight years ago may have grown up but there are just as many schoolkids around now to replace them. Graham87 09:21, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- Nope, I don't think that's needed; on Wikipedia we tend to avoid unnecessary capitalisation, which this is. Graham87 09:35, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- The rest of the article uses both forms of capitalisation (more often lower-cased). Graham87 10:18, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
