In Section 1, is the author saying that the incident E-field causes the electron to vibrate parallel to the direction of the field and then radiate in the way that antenna engineers would call an infinitesimal dipole (classic donut pattern)? If this is the case, then this makes Thompson scattering a very easy concept to understand!
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Frequency selective surface, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Frequency selective surface, you may be blocked from editing. - You may not edit it because you're persistently deleting content, as you can see in the warnings. If you'd like, I will unprotect it and block you instead, or I'll unprotect it if you assure me that you won't keep it up, although of course protection will be restored if you go back to disrupting the article.
