edit

  Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Schanulleke, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Adakiko (talk) 11:27, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Schanulleke. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Adakiko (talk) 11:29, 27 March 2024 (UTC) Schanulleke has no gender. If you claim to know their gender then YOU should provide a sourceReply

Notice of edit warring

edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Schanulleke. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Adakiko (talk) 11:35, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

no it is not i am not claiming what their gender is. you are the one who is claiming that they are female

You have not read it. All content must be verifiable. You should remove all the information that can not be verified. If you cannot verify a gender then there is no gender. So remove any mention of their gender or use neutral pronouns

"They/Their" implies a gender. Much more so than "she / he". Most of Wikipedia's biographies of people don't source gender. Are you going to change every one of those to "they/their"? This discussion belongs on talk:Schanulleke, not here. BTW: I don't care what Schanulleke's gender is; just that it's sourced. See help:talk pages. Please format your talk and sign properly. Adakiko (talk) 11:53, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

No it does not. I have removed the gender cause it can't be verified that Schanulleke is female. They and their implies neutrality. She implies the female gender. Most biographies do source gender because these sources use pronouns themselves. If you don't care about Schanulleke's gender but do care that it is sourced then why did you leave unsourced gender assumptions on the page? you should have removed them instead of starting an edit war!

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as done at Schanulleke.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Quinlan (talk) 22:51, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
