Please take more care when changing words; deigned is not analogous with designed as you changed it to.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:04, 30 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey, just a heads up, but make sure if you're changing a Commons link, the target is actually where you think it is. Granted, the Commons category was wrong, but it should have been fixed there first. Parsecboy (talk) 11:52, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sam Fender. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. --Oroborvs (talk) 16:19, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Is this response a knee jerk reaction because I have absolutely no idea what you seem to be emersed or at least just know about. I read an article and I find something that by all cursery indications is wrong--misspelled. Now, any edit that the WP establishment finds unacceptable is by its own nature "unconstructive". That's why the gang of you ban etc people. I will let you deal with dispute and notice boards. "Appear" is a very subjective term. You sem to be more familiar and invested with what you write about and should take it upon yourself for those of us that are not to explain it further to me in order to make your efforts more welcomed and suitable to my participation. All the best with your knowledge and approach.2603:8000:D300:D0F:3000:C19E:8E1:70CB (talk) 17:28, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Oroborvs: can you review your assessment of this IP's edit at Sam Fender and strike the notice if it was an error? I see this edit as their only change and it's obviously a good-faith copyedit. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 17:33, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
One of the situations with WP is how its edits are recorded. There were actually two changes that after careful consideration one has been addressed.2603:8000:D300:D0F:3000:C19E:8E1:70CB (talk) 18:00, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
It is an error, I got lost with all these IPs. At first, the June 1 edits are unneeded such as this addition in the lead. --Oroborvs (talk) 18:20, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
"costal" was never an addition on 1 June and it was always a misspelling. Are you on the record that there can be or was too much literary expression, not including the misspelling aspect, because the statement is mixed tense.?2603:8000:D300:D0F:ECFD:2826:F5CF:5433 (talk) 23:03, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
This addition in the lead (which is not yours) → "... the costal town of North Shields, approximately 8 miles west of Newcastle upon Tyne.", was made on 1 June; this is the date I have because I live in Europe. It has nothing to do with grammar. I am not a patroller or an administrator, I sent you a template warning by mistake. Thanks for the improvement in writing and grammar, but there is nothing to improve in this specific case because this sentence expansion is unnecessary. These excessive details in the lead are not allowed because what is in the lead must summarize the key points of the body, and it must be condensed, via WP:MOSLEAD. That's why "Fender was born and grew up in North Shields." is enough. If this sentence reappears again in the lead I will delete it. Articles are not randomly written, editors must follow the Wikipedia:Manual of Style and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography. The article can't reach the GA status if there are any errors in it. See Wikipedia:Featured articles which are perfectly done, and it's the reference. Knowing this, no one is stopping you from continuing to improve the grammar of the articles. --Oroborvs (talk) 11:05, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
