I don't think that is necessary at all. You can look at them for yourself. You argue consistency - I urge you to look at article titles, article templates, and Olympics for consistency, and not to follow a non-helpful-to-reader approach you have used. And why are you splitting conversation across multiple pages? Best to respond on your page. You have not give me a reason to allow your deletion to stand. You are simply stripping away the year, obviously helpful to the reader, and embedded in the titles of the very articles pointed to. This I'm sorry seems quite the obvious issue to me, and not one that you need to encourage met to make a larger ado about. What are you possibly thinking? I've brought your concerns to the Sports WikiProject. Perhaps, you can get (what you think is required) such changes or additions to all such sport event pages, adopted. GoodDay (talk) 19:24, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
