User:Denni045 the edit was not WP:VANDALISM, which does not include everything you simply don't like. Moreover, false accusations of vandalism are a personal attack. Per Wikipedia:Freedom of panorama and the precautionary principle if in doubt about a copyvio situation the default is to remove. Please explain why you believe this is not a a potential copyvio at Talk:Pierluigi Manciniart, thank you. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:DDD9:68D1:5AA2:6A7C (talk) 17:17, 17 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Your proposal of deletion of wiki commons images for copyright are just false accussations made without any proofs. If you look closely the picture there is written the name of the artist and more over I am the one who apploaded the images. If you had any concers about the wiki commons images you could have started a talk, but you just decided to propose them for deletion withou having any proofs. I do not know what makes you so strongly try to delete something without advising or without any proofs. Denni045 (talk) 14:01, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
User:Denni045 on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, we take copyright very seriously. It is both an ironclad internal policy and real world law, violations of which the could potentially place the Wikimedia Foundation in legal trouble.
All volunteers including you have an obligation to adhere to policy, and given the nature of copyrights when in doubt the default is to remove. That you uploaded the images is not relevant, because there is no FoP in the countries where those images were made, which I have already explained elsewhere. I understand that people routinely violate the copyright law in these countries by taking pictures of them, but that is no excuse for us to do so as well, and will not be an acceptable defense in the event of litigation. The proof, and the only proof needed, is simply the intersection of the plain reading of applicable local laws and the locations in which the images were taken.
I don't know what you mean by strongly, but as I said we take copyright very seriously and remove infringing content whenever there is any doubt as to the applicability of copyright. The deletion requests will be reviewed by people familiar with the legal implications and acted upon within a few weeks depending on the state of the backlog. Until such time as a firm determination has been made, the images should not be used anywhere on Wikipedia. Thanks for working with the community to help us respect copyright, and please avoid uploading images of any potentially copyrighted artwork in the future. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:9CB3:F849:5062:30B9 (talk) 16:13, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
