June 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Sundayclose. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Talk:Ron Jeremy, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Sundayclose (talk) 02:56, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Is that one ok to use?

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Talk:Ron Jeremy. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 03:04, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you can't link to the specific page about Jeremy, don't add the information. Those superfluous details aren't needed anyway. The charges are discussed in the article already. Sundayclose (talk) 03:15, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
It makes no mention of his incarceration or the the 6.6 million dollar bail. Would that not be a part of the page?
Feel free to suggest those details on the talk page, along with reliable sources. We don't need the number for the court case, his height and weight, the address of the prison, or other trivial details. Important information should be in the mainstream press at some point. We can wait for that. Wikipedia is not a newspaper. We don't have to scoop the story today. Sundayclose (talk) 03:26, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
