Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 07:58, 23 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Microscope does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! CityOfSilver 01:55, 25 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

And it's because I've seen this behavior before and it'll never stop being strange. Rather than get into it like this, why not just type out an explanation for what you're doing? It's a much easier, more effective method to ensure that your edits, major and minor, will stick. CityOfSilver 02:01, 25 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
But it did contain "the briefest of edit summaties." Are you just bullying me again? I thought yoh bragged you had me thoroughly trained. Woof woof. --2600:387:6:807:0:0:0:77 (talk) 01:57, 25 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Edit conflicts are warnings that someone else has already edited the page to prevent you from deleting someone else's text like you did. Woof woof. --2600:387:6:807:0:0:0:77 (talk) 02:14, 25 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Chad Reed. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Λυδαcιτγ 07:25, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
