January 2022 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Jump server, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. As WP:BRD suggests, get consensus on the talk page befor attempting to remove this material. Peaceray (talk) 05:33, 28 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Hey, there was already a talk page about the false information I removed. Any reason you choose not to discuss it? user:peaceray
Perhaps I should have posted a warning after my first reversion, but I had thought my edit summary was enough. Generally, as per WP:BRD suggests, the course of action would be to open a discussion on the talk page, then wait for a response there, before reverting a reversion. Reverting a reversion goes down the path to edit warring. There are certain situations where such an action would be justifiable, but given what I know of the subject matter I simply felt that the initial reason was unjustified, & your assertion that the information is false is highly debatable, as we are currently at Talk:Jump server.
