Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Tanner–Hiller Airport, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:28, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

In response to your message on my talk page, that appears to constitute original research. Wikipedia, like most academic institutions, only accepts (reliable) published sources; you can't "cite" a person. Everything needs to be properly cited using a reliable source. The reason we can't just take your word for it is because anyone can create an account on Wikipedia and claim to be someone important (They're not required to show their credentials or identify themselves), and if we allowed people to cite themselves, a lot of misinformation can be added. To prevent this from occurring, only published sources are accepted, the same way you'd cite published sources in an academic paper. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 22:43, 2 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
