August 2023 edit

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked temporarily from editing for block evasion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.

Request reason:

Can someone explain why I am being blocked for block evasion when I have done no such thing, don't make baseless accusations and otherwise fix this /please/, otherwise I will wait till the block expires and carry on like normal

Accept reason:

You were blocked because you were reintroducing content from a block-evading user and therefore appeared to be that user. Blocks apply to the person, not just the account, hence the block on this IP address. However, on deeper investigation, I think you are unlikely to be that person. I accept your word that you have not engaged in block evasion and so I have lifted the block. You have my sincere apologies. If you wish to reintroduce the edit you made (but not as a revert, please), you are free to do so. Note that you must personally verify the image is correctly licensed and not, say, owned by Dreambox themselves. Yamla (talk) 14:51, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Ganges river dolphin, you may be blocked from editing. --Yamla (talk) 12:48, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

It was my understanding that the Ganges river ishorribly polluted by human waste however, so the native biota have had to adapt to this accordingly. 217.33.165.88 (talk) 14:16, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
You need to find a reliable source (WP:RS) to cite (WP:CITE) that this has caused evolutionary changes in the Ganges river dolphin. You can't rely on your own understanding; see WP:NOR. --Yamla (talk) 14:29, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Dipangkorn Rasmijoti. --Yamla (talk) 16:16, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

To reply to 331dot, are you just incapable of reading what I said in my latest comment on User talk: GeneralHamster? I stated I have lost access to my account which was blocked, that is why I am making an IP edit, because some genius has disabled my access to UTRS so I have no means of communicating to you otherwise! It makes no difference to me if you block this IP range because I do not use it, I am just informing you as a courtesy and asking for direction - so I do not understand what is so hard to get about that. I am asking what the usual policy is as I don't have the email associated with the account. I am not evading my block. I am asking a question. If you are incapable of understanding that then I really don't know what a sensible expectation is. Again, it feels like WP:BITE is preached but never practised.

Decline reason:

Your only pathway is via ArbCom. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 14:57, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You're not new at this so BITE is not relevant, and it doesn't mean we should let newcomers do whatever they want anyway. You've been told what you should do to work on getting unblocked. You have lost access to UTRS due to abuse. If you lost access to your account, tell that to ArbCom. 331dot (talk) 09:43, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

What abuse? I havent used UTRS since the summer. And again I have lost access to the account so I cant prove who I am. Do I just mail ArbCom and explain I have lost access to the account? 217.33.165.88 (talk) 09:49, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
It says on your user talk page "UTRS ban for abuse." Yes, your only pathway forward is ArbCom. 331dot (talk) 09:53, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can you explain what the UTRS ban was for though? "Abuse" doesn't mean anything to me, I haven't touched UTRS since my last appeal back around Aug. Quite frankly we will have to agree to disagree, as I do not feel my blocking was fair to begin with. I know the truth of this, I can sleep with that knowing at least I was wronged.217.33.165.88 (talk) 10:12, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
You posted a vulgar personal attack that was absolutely abusive. 331dot (talk) 12:12, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I wasn't abusive in my last UTRS appeal. And I have not made one since around August so it won't have been me. 217.33.165.88 (talk) 16:55, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then you can tell that to ArbCom. 331dot (talk) 18:51, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
