Snookerpool
editHello, you added some information to Snooker about the "snookerpool" variant. Where did you get that from? We've come to the conclusion that it's not a derived game, just a misnomer for snooker, or maybe what it used to be called originally since it was basically a new form of pool. If you have any sources that state otherwise, we would be very interested to have a look, but if you're just going on hearsay then it can't go in the article as it would just be an example of WP:OR and we're hoping to get this article up to Featured Article status later this year. Cheers, Rodney Baggins (talk) 14:07, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, I noticed that you tried to add some information on snookerpool to the Snooker article again. We've come to the conclusion that unless we can find a reliable source with a description of how it's played, the snookerpool variant is a non-starter. I accept that it is probably a popular game in Northern England and I'm not in any way suggesting that what you say is untrue! Has it ever been spoken about in your local newspaper for example? That might give it some clout. It does sound interesting and actually quite good fun but unfortunately anything that's not accompanied by a reliable source is highly unlikely to get past the Featured Article review stage so there's no point adding it in now. editHello, I'm Rdp060707. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Snooker, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ----Rdp060707|talk 09:40, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
