December 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Template:Latest preview software release/Microsoft Visual Studio, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. March 2017 edit

Hey, there is no need to report an IP if it made one bad edit half a day ago (like 72.162.93.4, 165.234.100.36, etc.). Save your time, and mine. Materialscientist (talk) 04:07, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Materialscientist: Yeah, those (and some others) were borderline reportable in my mind, but I just wasn't sure what your judgment would be with some of them... In case if you were wondering, I find most of the IP addresses/accounts from patrolling this (although ClueBot makes lots of fp's), which I try to sort through as best as I can)... 208.54.5.159 (talk) 04:13, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
I mean, you did block both of those IP's, so I'm not sure why you are mentioning those ones... if you felt like they didn't have sufficient activity to warrant a block you could have just removed those ones, too. 208.54.5.159 (talk) 04:19, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
There are no solid rules on when to block, but better not to push admins when not needed. Materialscientist (talk) 04:42, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes, following Cluebot edits is not very productive. To find vandals, I'd better use filter logs [1]. If you can't see that page, maybe you can see individual filters like [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] etc.

You seem to nod, yet keep going. There was no use reporting 205.154.248.7 (talk · contribs). Materialscientist (talk) 04:50, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that, I had that IP open in another tab way before we were discussing this... 208.54.5.159 (talk) 04:52, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, thanks for providing the filter links above. The only one that isn't visible is this one (ID: 380). 208.54.5.159 (talk) 04:55, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you recently removed some content from User talk:130.126.255.46 without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
