Welcome! edit

Howdy, 2000, Welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your contributions, you seem to be off to a good start. Hopefully you will soon join the vast army of Wikipediholics! If you need help on how to title new articles see the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. For general questions goto Wikipedia:Help or the FAQ, if you can't find your answer there check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. If you have any more questions after that, feel free to ask me directly on my user talk page.

WikiProject Backpacking edit

Hello, I noticed you seem to like Backpacking and was wondering if you'd be interested in WikiProject Backpacking, a new project geared towards improving backpacking related articles on Wikipedia. If you'd like to join, show support by signing your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Backpacking and by helping to edit our beta project page at User:Leif902/WikiProject Backpacking (which will be moved to the Wikipedia namespace after support is built up). Thank you, and have a nice day! -Leif902 01:00, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wrong picture! edit

Hi, I see from the edit summary that you uploaded Image:Paihia.jpg. It doesn't show Paihia, it shows another town across the water from Paihia called Russell. The people who captioned it on Flickr must have got confused. I don't know how to change it and remove it from the Paihia page though. Thanks. 81.159.88.164 (talk) 06:35, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey, thank you for telling me about the wrong title and wrong description of [[1]]. That should be fixed now. - 2000 (talk) 22:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
