September 2022 edit

Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:English people for general discussion of the topic or other unrelated topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See the talk page guidelines for more information. I wasn't using it for a 'general discussion'. I was answering a person asking about the genetics of the English people, as well as letting him know that the article itself already goes into all that in fairly significant detail.
If you mean the stuff with Mutt Lunker, then fair enough, but I felt it would be rude to simply ignore their continued responses to me.
Noted, however. 2.99.93.88 (talk) 18:27, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
You answered a question from January, where there was already a reply stating very clearly that this was not a forum to discuss that question. But thank you. I understand it is very tempting to answer everything anyone says on Wikipedia but talk pages must focus on improving the article. That is their only purpose. My bad, I didn't notice the date the question was posed. 2.99.93.88 (talk) 18:37, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
