June 2019 edit

Hello, I'm John from Idegon. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, East High School (Denver), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. October 2023 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at International Churches of Christ, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:18, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

The case numbers I added are a VERY reliable source, as anyone can look them up at the Los Angeles Superior Court website. They are an official, public record. I also added a link in my first version to one of the actual complaints. These are primary sources. What is the problem? thought1 (talk) 17:02, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
We need to be using secondary sources for this sort of thing. See WP:PSTS. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:12, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
An official public record is the most reliable source you can get. thought1 (talk) 18:42, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I also attached a secondary source, so I have both.  ??????? thought1 (talk) 18:43, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Which secondary source was that? Cordless Larry (talk) 19:06, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK, I put it back so you can see what I am proposing: the original case numbers from the primary source; a secondary source already in use in the page which mentions the first two complaints; the court's website where people can look up the 4 cases; and a google drive site with a copy of the 4th complaint, with the court's filing stamp at the top, which makes it an official copy thought1 (talk) 21:36, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please propose this at Talk:International Churches of Christ#Court Cases and get consensus for the addition. I'm of the view that we need secondary sources covering the recent filings, but others may take a different view. Cordless Larry (talk) 20:47, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
