Haley Paige references edit

Since Wikipedia must be careful about the information we provide, particularly when it comes to living persons, I removed your recent additions from the Haley Paige article. With that said, what references do you have supporting your claim about her death? -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 17:12, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

well, i know her mother very well, and she is the one who informed me. but im guessing that knowing the truth is not good enough? (not sure if this was the right way to respond) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.106.195.8 (talk) 14:10, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, we have no way to verify this independently. Basically, see Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. What we would need is a reliable source, such as an obituary published in a newspaper. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 19:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

July 2009 edit

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article San Diego Zoo, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Mfield (Oi!) 04:25, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

September 2010 edit

  Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to California Condor. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 19:27, 12 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thomas Weston (merchant adventurer) edit

As to your feedback comment, I would advise that if you have any information about the years you wonder about, please insert into the article. I did much research and was unable to find any information for the period you refer to. His notability was established in his later years. I will continue searching. Thank you. May 2017 edit

  Hello, I'm RA0808. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Southern white rhinoceros, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. RA0808 talkcontribs 15:33, 19 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
