I reverted your edit of Earth's magnetic field because pluralization of units does follow the normal rules of English grammar (see, for example, the NIST guide). I know it seems strange - I worked with magnetism for several years before I found out that you're supposed to pluralize "gauss". I think my wrong impression lasted that long because we normally don't print the whole name for the unit. RockMagnetist (talk) 17:05, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
