January 2021 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Subhash Kak. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
@Walrus Ji: Dear editor, I was only removing tendentious text that was not appropriate for the lede. While I believe you acted in good faith, I am willing to discuss with you about what you think was wrong with my edits. Please share your thoughts. 183.83.146.183 (talk) 13:07, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Walrus Ji: Please answer. If you revert while ignoring discussion, then it is wrong. 183.83.146.183 (talk) 13:10, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please raise your concern at Talk:Subhash Kak for discussion about the article, not here. The comment should follow WP:BLP policies. They content is lead worthy. If you disagree, you need to follow WP:DISPUTE RESOLUTION process. Walrus Ji (talk) 13:12, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please sign and indent your posts edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Please make new comments at the bottom of the page and
WP:INDENT them appropriately using appropriate number of colons : Walrus Ji (talk) 13:31, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
