Create a separate article please

edit

Create 'Family and descendants of Diponegoro' please do not add 'silsilah' to articles about Indonesian historical persons.

If you want examples or reasons - ask.

Also learn to WP:SIGN - and place new items at the bottom of the talk page please JarrahTree 05:16, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

JANGAN

edit

Historic persons in Indonesian history may well have descendants - however as an online encyclopedia - with articles about the people - english wikipedia usually does not have extended family trees as part of the articles. Please read WP:NOT and WP:ABOUT

If you wish to add material create a separate article please... move out of your focus and look how other family articles are created: -

Some background

edit

over the last month or so an Indonesian based IP has tried to add unreferenced and obvious WP:OR for all the HB (Yogyakarta) and PB (Surakarta) rulers, with no attempt at WP:RS or WP:CITE - english wikipedia has particular concern that living people never have WP:BLP without adequate sourcing.. it helps if the same works for deceased persons as well

The precedent that you might find for an ottoman with family tree included might be possible - however with respect, it would be much more suitable considering the size of some silsilah material - family tree material about some Indonesian historical rulers are much larger than anything about the person... that is where WP:UNDUE and other various conventions are to be considered... which is why the request for a separate article (well referenced of course) is being made... maybe not the same as an ottoman biography - however the prevalence of interest in family trees/silsilah against the rulers names actually removes any sense that the article is about the person, it is more about the descendants. Please in WP:AGF consider creating a separate article - it could create a good precedent and be of considerable use as a guideline for the editors who seem to have such a concern about descendants rather than the actual person in the article content... thanks for your considering the possibility...
