Hello, I'm Opolito. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of British heritage and private railways have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Opolito (talk) 06:49, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm not British, so I'm not clear as to how reorganizing that list was considered "partisan." I just thought the "North England" section was a little long, and thought that splitting it into segments more based on the Regions of England would make things a little clearer. I didn't think it would be a problem since the rest of the section aligned with the Regions.
However, if you think reorganizing it that way was insensitive, I won't contest your reversion. I apologize for any trouble I might have caused. 174.0.253.201 (talk) 14:39, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
There were multiple problems with your edit. First, why did you name one of your new sections "North East England & Yorkshire" - why is Yorkshire as the only county called out separately in that header? You also got the split wrong, leaving the Pleasure Beach Express, Blackpool in North East England. You also changed the header "Railway centres and museums" to "Railway centres and Museums" which is an incorrectly capitalization. Finally you added nowiki twice to the moved Threlkeld entry, which broke the source citation. If you want to make a split like this, I recommend you reach a consensus on the article's talk page first, and take more care with how you implement a change like that. Yorkshire and the Humber is one of the Regions of England, so I thought it made sense to list Yorkshire as a separate region alongside North East England. I'll try and sort out consensus in future.
As for the other issues, I think I got in over my head by using the visual editor (and I got title case drilled into me). Sorry about that. 174.0.253.201 (talk) 01:12, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
