Please do not remove maintenance notices from pages unless the required changes have been made. If you are uncertain whether the page requires further work, or if you disagree with the notice, please discuss these issues on the page's talk page before removing the notice from the page. These notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of a page. Thank you. Chovain 13:56, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure that it is appropriate to replace {{categorize}} with Category:Uncategorised people. Category:Uncategorised people is a maintenance template. By making that change, you are removing the "categorise" notice from the top without adequately categorising. Chovain 14:06, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is appropriate

IMHO as that category is maintained more frequently than the uncategorized file, as far as I can tell.

Wouldn't it be better to have both then? Chovain 14:21, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
6 of one half dozen of another! I just want to clear out the October uncategorized section as best as I can.... Maybe there is a better way?

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!

Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Yuser31415 22:45, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
