Welcome

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Sitush (talk) 13:23, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Norwich_Central_Baptist_Church_FC#Norwich_Central_Baptist_Church_FC

edit

Hi, you may wish to read some of the items mentioned in the "welcome" message that I have just posted here. Unfortunately, there are no "rights" regarding the existence or otherwise of articles on Wikipedia and nor does the project exist to publicise organisations or to act as a substitute mode of conveying information of such. In a world with a population of several billion, "a few thousand people in Norfolk" is not particularly notable in my own book, but in any event that criteria is totally irrelevant on Wikipedia (see the page at WP:Notability for a detailed explanation). Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 13:28, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Widr. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to RTA Insurer, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Widr (talk) 17:20, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Charalampos Mavrias, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Mattythewhite (talk) 14:51, 31 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hello, I'm Methecooldude. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Cameroon  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Rich(MTCD)T|C|E-Mail 17:29, 9 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Rory Donnelly, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you.
