January 2024 edit

Hello, I'm The Herald. I noticed that you recently removed content from Canis without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Hello The Herald (Benison), regarding your ill-considered revert, now counter-reverted. Take a look at all 3 edits. First I shifted the timeline sequence between two paragraphs because 6m years occurs before 5m years in the geological sequence - why you reverted that remains unclear. Then I provided a citation that was requested. Then I created the sub-article and placed a link to it, so a citation was no longer needed, just like all of the other extinct species in that particular list - why you reverted a link to another article remains unclear. The edit summaries tell you what is happening, and the obtuse WP template you dropped on my Talk Page was not helpful. Any issues then you should feel free to take it for adjudication; we shall then see what other parties think about your reverts. 14.2.205.177 (talk) 06:35, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

You have reverted my edits without an edit summary nor a good reason. Please reinstate them or I will not hesitate to WP:ANI you. You have 24 hours from now to make the changes. 14.2.205.177 (talk) 05:11, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
sorry, vulgarity, and changed of cited fact without proper attribution.
i thought the vulgarity reason was being duplicated in the edit history, but evidently it didn't show.
my apologies if that reversal seemed abrupt. i am always curious as regards different types of online vandalism and human responses,
curious, though. we almost didn't catch it.
have a wikipedia day, Augmented Seventh (talk) 05:27, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Please do some minimal checking before reverting an entire series of good edits due to a typo. I have restored the material and fixed the typo, which took all of three seconds. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 16:52, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
