Welcome edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 11:12, 14 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

January 2013 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

February 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Chiswick Chap. An edit that you recently made to Cultural icon seemed to be a test and it has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:04, 19 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

June 2014 edit

Hello, I'm Arfæst Ealdwrítere. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Agni-V, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Arfæst Ealdwrítere (talk) 10:08, 20 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Agni-V with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links may include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Arfæst Ealdwrítere (talk) 10:12, 20 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

September 2014 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of hospitals in India may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • * [[Sanjivanee Hospit

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 13:51, 16 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
