Hindu population edit

@139.190.44.162: I am not really getting your point. The 2017 census did not publish any religious population. Besides, isn't it a good thing that Pakistani Hindu population has increased from 1.8% in 1998 to 4% in 2018. If there is any problem with the 4% figure published by PHC, then please do let me know. The hindu population has stayed about the same or increased, thats true. but 4% is simply not accurate which is why im saying this. the population of Hindus & christians in pakistan is about the same. The 4% figure is unrealistic and doesn't meet any ground realities. Hindus have even lost majority in the few districts like Umerkot according to latest Census. So how could there percentage, and thus number, more than double within a decade? such a jump in a country of 200 million is huge and thats why i'm saying this figure is unrealistic. No international or local estimates put the minority population of pakistan at 4%, added together, forget Hindus alone.

@139.190.44.162: I got your point. However, the page clearly suggest that the 4% figure is provided by the PHC. This why the 4% was written below the 8 million figure. The problem lies with 2017 census. The Pakistani government did not publish the percentage of population according to the religion in its latest census and as there has been no new figure since 1998, hence, it is okay to use other estimates like the one which is published by PHC. Also if you look at it, the page makes it clear that Sindh is not the only province with Hindu population. It is scattered along the four provinces. The 4%, according to PHC is the total percentage of Hindu in Pakistan, not just in one province. 5.37.152.140 (talk) 11:23, 6 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
