Edit made on Motorola Mobility edit

Hello, We highly appreciated your edits and other contribution you do for the Wikipedia page , edit and contribution like your's is a important part to make wikipedia a good reliable platform for viewers from all over the world to get knowledge about the subject they are looking for. Now, On 30th March 2020 you made a edit on Motorola mobility where you remove the word "American" from the page. Although it looks a small thing but in reality it is a very serious factor. The term define the nationality of a company. And removing such terms has a very high potential to create confusion among viewers. So while making such kind of edit please be cautious and have several accurate information source to support the edit that you are making. I hope you understand my point. - Thank you Swastik Mridha (talk) 19:40, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. hey! edit

you (singly or collectively) are not 'running with the herd' (of named or pseudonym-named 'Users' (editing)) and i would encourage considering 'joining up'; meanwhile, (one of) you warmed my heart with the (yes, no-citation; we encourage citations as User:RandomCanadian did above) addition of the Japanese-characters name for at least this co. name in Dai-ichi (as the last of several edits to the article in May or so; with more Japanese-subject edits then also 'on' this IP number). Whether it's still apparent or not, I started this page in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear accident, which brought high (English language) visibility to the anglicized Japanese words for 'number 1'; but there wasn't an easy way to find what the words meant, for me at the time. hence, the dai-ichi article. today, Daiichi Sankyo (第一三共株式会社) was notable in the news and I was so pleased to find it (by my hand or another's; I did do several to show it was a common usage) in the article; before I took a quick look at the page history and found 'you'; the encyclopedia takes many sorts of editors in a cumulative cross-checking system i find more crucial than ever in our 2020 world; I hope my mixed-bag soap-boxing a little here's all right. If I'm really scraping for feedback I'll check pageviews in a day or two to see if "AstraZeneca has agreed to pay Japan’s Daiichi Sankyo up to $6 billion to jointly develop and commercialize a cancer drug" (wsj) has caused a ripple of attention to the old number 1. cheers. Swliv (talk) 16:51, 27 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

From a look (with no reading comprehension) at the '第一' page in the Japanese-language Wikipedia, there is not as much information there as in the Dai-ichi article in the English-language Wikipedia. Since the English-language page was established in effect as translation page, it also strikes me the two pages could be usefully linked. However, at the moment, I have no idea how that would be accomplished. Maybe I'll figure out how; maybe 'you' (individually or collectively, depending on how the device with this IP number is used) will. In the meantime, I was glad to find my note here from last year and am glad to reach out again, here. Cheers. Swliv (talk) 19:28, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

This was not vandalism; I made a chain of wrong edits by editing on a previous revision of the page without knowing. Hence the back-and-forth that seemed like vandalism. My editing history clearly shows I have been trying to contribute to Wikipedia. 131.111.5.181 (talk) 09:06, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
