Proposed deletion of Franz Schubert (officer)

edit

Hello, 130309p,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Onel5969 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Franz Schubert (officer), for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now-visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click Publish Changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Onel5969}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Answer

Well, first to greet you!
This article speaks about the one of most notable persons and officers during Bosnian War, specially during Operation Corridor 92 on side of Army of Republika Srpska. Main problem of this article is lack of informations. For those who are well-informed about war in Bosnia, this officer is important figure during liberation of "corridor of life". Maybe others do not see that, but many persons who live in Republika Srpska and are interested in war history of 90s in territories of ex Yugoslavia should know who Franz Schubert was.
My only question is may I have some tip from you how to make this article better and how to change the fact that this article is proposed for deletion? @Onel5969: 130309p (talk) 12:53, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi 130309p. The two most significant guidelines are WP:GNG and WP:NSOLDIER. Regarding the latter, based on your comment above, the only one which might apply is #4, "Played an important role in a significant military event such as a major battle or campaign". If you can provide references from independent, reliable sources which back up what you say above (books, magazines, newspapers), that would be the start. The same regarding the general notability criteria, if you came up with several in-depth pieces about him from reliable sources, that would show overall notability. I might suggest moving this to draft (I can do that for you if you want), to let you have time to work on it. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 13:57, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate that, thanks a lot for help! Moving this article to draft will surely help me to make it better.

Done. You can find it at Draft:Franz Schubert (officer). Good luck. Onel5969 TT me 15:21, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

National Heroes moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, National Heroes, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Pomoć

edit
