I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Kate Current. Thanks! -- NotCharizard 🗨 13:52, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
hi @Notcharizard Jazz Shukla is a near identical notable athlete and these two pages are very similar in the way they are written up. if the one was accepted surely this one will be too 123456789athletics (talk) 15:25, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure that's true though, in the sources for Jazz's article there are several news pieces about her achievements, and her infobox shows bronze and silver medals. Kate's article doesn't have either. I'm not saying Kate isn't as notable, like I said I don't know much about how sports articles work, but that it needs to be proved to the reviewers that she's notable so I'm just giving you a heads up on that :)
Even if there are other published articles seeimingly similar to the draft, that would come under WP:WHATABOUT and WP:INN. -- NotCharizard 🗨 15:43, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
what about now? i have added alot more info 123456789athletics (talk) 17:28, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I do not agree with this review of the article. this was written in a formal tone, i provided many sources and included first hand accounts from reputable sources on the subject's achievements 123456789athletics (talk) 17:18, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
At least two of the awards are accompanied by excessive commentary. Drmies (talk) 17:19, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
one of the pieces of commentary was simply defining the award as stated in the article, in what way was that informal? 123456789athletics (talk) 17:23, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
the commentary was direct quotes from the authorities on the awards. the quotes were found within the sourced articles. 123456789athletics (talk) 17:20, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
if i remove the commentary and resubmit will it be accepted? 123456789athletics (talk) 17:22, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
It will have a better chance, I think. And that's not about formal vs. informal--it's about promotional vs. neutral. That "these were the words" is really not so relevant, "for her contribution to women's athletics" is good enough. The bigger question is this: should a "local" award, in this case a university-wide award even be mentioned in the first place? Because what we typically list, in academia, are "highly prestigious academic award[s] or honor[s] at a national or international level": see WP:NPROF. In biographies of academics we don't list teaching or research awards from the university. Drmies (talk) 18:58, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
please provide an explanation. i sourced direct quotes to add further information as to what an award represents as well as a direct quote from the individual who decides on the award winners speaking to the achievements of the subject 123456789athletics (talk) 17:33, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
