You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address (121.1.18.241) is used to identify you instead. In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place Please edit constructivelyeditYour recent edit to Carrie Underwood bolded the entire first paragraph. September 2008editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Calamian Dragon has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bbravehost\.com' (link(s): http://limfamilyofcoron.bravehost.com/) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest). If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Your edits to September 17editDear 121.1.18.241,
If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. Please see this page for help. editHello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to History of the Philippines (1521–1898) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 12:52, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
External links
editThe policy WP:SOCIALMEDIA you linked to is about article sources in references, not external links.
What you are adding are external links for which the relevant policies are WP:ELNO point #10, and Wikipedia:ELNO#Official_links which explains that "Normally, only one official link is included."
The website therefore suffices as an official link. Confusing, I know, but please don't continue to add lists of social media sites, as it is contrary to policy. Thanks. Begoon talk 14:15, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
ps - it would also be good, now that you have had the relevant policy explained, if you would undo your re-insertion. Thank you. Begoon talk 14:19, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
- Just adding that I understand you were unable to self-revert, due to your block, so I did so, and there's a discussion at Talk:Torch_(browser)#Social_media_links_in_external_links you should join, rather than further edit-warring, if you're still interested in this when you return.
