Your edit at Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

edit

I had originally removed a note in the article as likely original research as it was unsourced. Your revert of my edit restored the problem; the note still looked like original research. That your edit summary included a source to support the claim did not change that. Anyone reviewing the verifiablity of the article would not see your note unless they waded through the edit history. I have added the source as a citation in the note to resolve the problem.

Additionally, I have tweaked the wording. The original claim was that this was a "parody" of the scene in the TV show. The source did not indicate parody, though it did point to humor. - SummerPhDv2.0 15:32, 20 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

That claim has been in the article since the earliest iterations of the Plot section, and has gone through many many versions. I've seen plenty of cases where similar details were deleted based on WP:FILMPLOT word count alone but on balance I like having it (since it essentially reopens the plot) and including it is easier than dealing with people constantly adding worse sloppier versions.
That screenrant article one of the first references that came up, other sources such as "know your meme" go into much more detail. If you feel strongly that a reference is needed then I will dig deeper and try to see if there is a better quality reference. -- 109.77.252.211 (talk) 16:53, 20 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
