Your Ariel edit edit

Thanks for your input, but I would take it a bit more seriously if you had a user name and not just an IP address. Homoaffectional (talk) 04:43, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's your choice, I suppose. 108.69.80.49 (talk) 04:56, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also... edit

... if you change the entry to do as you suggested I do, and add a paragraph reflecting her death yourself, I doubt I will revert your edit at that point the way you did mine. Homoaffectional (talk) 04:45, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have fixed it for you, then. 108.69.80.49 (talk) 05:03, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, especially what you did for Ghost of Lion Castle. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Dillard421♂♂ (talk to me) 07:08, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey, thanks. :) 108.69.80.49 (talk) 07:32, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yes, welcome. Thanks for taking care of the Ariel edit for me. Now that it's mentioned in the intro that she's dead some way or other, I'd say the entry's good and we're good.  :) Let me know when you finally come up with a user name and what it is. Don't remove the dates on "citation needed" notes; this is valuable information edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from TSR, Inc.. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. November 2010 edit

This is your last warning; the next time you make personal attacks on other people, as you did at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. The Globular Mass (talk) 19:39, 28 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I would note that I have indef blocked The Globular Mass, following their removal of your complaint to ANI and review of their recent edits. Please disregard the above warning, obviously made in bad faith. LessHeard vanU (talk) 20:17, 28 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Jeffrey Mace edit

Oh, I agree with you — I really enjoyed the series, and I liked how at the end it turns out Thunderbolt Ross is Betsy Ross' nephew. I was only saying the middle name needed a citation, and you've now supplied that, albeit in the edit summary. I'll add it as a footnote. Cheers! --Tenebrae (talk) 05:44, 27 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Raistlin page edit

Hi. I just made some rather heavy edits to the Raistlin page. Was wondering if you wouldn't mind looking them over and telling me what you think. Vyselink (talk) 07:57, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Will do! 108.69.80.49 (talk) 12:17, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Much improved! Continuing to use citations for the text, and removing/fixing stuff that breaks WP:OR, WP:V, and WP:NPV will make this a much better article overall. 108.69.80.49 (talk) 12:39, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much. I'll probably do more edits sometime soon, so I'll let you know when I do. Vyselink (talk) 17:20, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.
My mistake, ignore the warning. Thanks for clearing all that up. Still, it's good practice to leave an edit summary, especially when removing references and blanking part of the page. In most cases, that is considered vandalism. In your case, you had a good reason, so I'm sorry for the warning. But in the future, if you're going to blank large sections, etc., I'd appreciate it if you'd leave an edit summary, explaining why you're making the change and possibly pointing to a conversation or policy that backs the edit up. Still, sorry for mistaking it for vandalism. Cheers. Friginator (talk) 19:46, 5 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Um...you can ignore that, I guess. The whole time I somehow was missing the fact that you DID leave an edit summary in the first place (don't ask how). So my apologies (again). Friginator (talk) 20:15, 5 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I hadn't even looked at your talk page when I reverted your vandalism! I just read too fast. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 05:04, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fictional character banners edit

Hi, I'm just wondering if you could do us a favour? When adding the WP Fictional character banner to fictiona character talk pages, could you assess them please? They're currently ending up in the Unassessed category and we have to keep going through them again.RAIN*the*ONE BAM 17:16, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Adding uniform creator credits to RPG articles? edit

My on-the-spot edit of the aboleth article reminds me of one of my pet peeves with D&D and related "literature" -- the general ignoring of creators. At least comic books have slowly learned to honor the people who actually come up with the ideas. Any ideas for pushing a uniform creator credit line with D&D Wikiproject folks? It seems to me that the creator of a monster or god or character or what-have-you should be identified in the lede paragraph wherever possible. Dragonlance edit

Your recent edit to the Dragonlance article, which I believe was made fully in good faith, changed quoted and referenced material. If something is a quote, unless you can prove that it is MISquoted, do not change it please. Thank you. Vyselink (talk) 01:07, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I think I did that without chaning the quote. But since I am unsure what the original material said, I guess I might as well leave it as-is and hope that someone can clarify it later. 108.69.80.49 (talk) 01:59, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
My apologies, you are correct that you didn't change the quote itself. What I saw was this, which as you can see isn't in proper format, as the quoted material's source is now listed directly after the quote (in text) instead of the typical ref number. It appears that you accidentally took out the initial "<ref". When I quickly glanced at it, that's what I saw, and reverted it. You are also correct that the way it was originally worded was improper and just sounded terrible, so I have changed it here. Please let me know what you think. Vyselink (talk) 13:01, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
I like it - thanks!  :) 108.69.80.49 (talk) 00:19, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
