Thanks

Thanks for your post at WP:AIV but I will move it to WP:COIN which is a better venue. SmartSE (talk) 16:13, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

@Smartse:╥﹏╥....please help me remove(revert) what these accounts added,these was spam.--寒吉 (talk) 16:17, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
Shall do, but probably need some help from checkusers to block the accounts. See Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Refspam_across_many_articles SmartSE (talk) 16:27, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
I've made a start and also found another paper that they've spammed. SmartSE (talk) 16:55, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
@Smartse:I think the first thing we should do is adding the link to Spam-blacklist, stopping spammer keep adding spam to wiki.It looks like someone pay for him/her(or groups) to do this.--寒吉 (talk) 17:21, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
And I think this spam anction was crosswiki,not only zhwiki and enwiki.--寒吉 (talk) 17:24, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
I think it is best to clean up first as having blacklisted links in pages can cause some problems, but once they are all removed, then yes. SmartSE (talk) 21:12, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
@Smartse:I noticed this.Thanks for your helping.--寒吉 (talk) 17:14, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
Almost finished tidying up I think, but can you look at zh:WikiRank and zh:弗拉基米尔·列沃涅夫斯基? They're older but the same group of spam. SmartSE (talk) 14:07, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
@Smartse:I will handle it after AfD discussio is closed.--寒吉 (talk) 14:10, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
Can you help on Kym (singer)? Sina article is actually from likely a non-Sina gossip archive, which her father said that she's actually 39 years old. But remains no reliable/third party source. 115.164.58.220 (talk) 04:40, 1 November 2020 (UTC) Oh btw. If only something official like birth certificate as its sourced by reliable third party sources. 115.164.170.206 (talk) 09:52, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Changing Republic of China (Taiwan) to Taiwan

Hi there,

I noticed that you have persistently changed Republic of China (Taiwan) to Taiwan in several sports-related articles such as the Super Basketball League. Could you provide a community consensus which shows that Taiwan should be used as the proper name for the country? I know people use Taiwan as an informal name for the country, however, wouldn't Republic of China (Taiwan) be a better option for the infoboxes where we need to display the real country name in a WP:NPOV way? 144.130.162.86 (talk) 08:24, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

Guidelines on adding categories

Read this. Also pinging @Rikster2: and @Bagumba:. Engr. Smitty Werben 14:28, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Also, provide your source that the league has already started. I looked up on their social media accounts and it seems that the start of the season is on the 27th, so most probably they haven't played yet. Engr. Smitty Werben 14:31, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
Still not the rule, and in Taiwan ,Imports not only played in league's games ,also small tournaments like zh:觀護盃國際籃球邀請賽.--寒吉 (talk) 14:33, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
I'm leaving the explaining to the two editors I mentioned. Engr. Smitty Werben 14:34, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
Please note that I had not only add categories to imports who play T1 League in 2021-2022, but also P. League+ and Super Basketball League before 2020–21 season, like LaDontae Henton, Mike Singletary (basketball).--寒吉 (talk)

We need a link that these players have appeared in an OFFICIAL game (not exhibition or preseason game) before adding the team categories. For example, I looked at Donté Greene and can find that he was signed by the Taichung Suns (announced October 7) but can't find any evidence he has played for them in any capacity. If he has played in an official capacity in a tournament or secondary league (these happen in Spain and other countries as well) then provide the evidence - a link to a box score is fine in the edit summary. Otherwise the information is WP:Unverifiable and should not be added. Rikster2 (talk) 15:40, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

According Employment Service Act Article 46, athlete need apply for a work permit for playing sports in Taiwan, as long as these players entry to Taiwan, these players entry as an athlete. Even if these players have not appeared in any games, but these players have been to Taiwan as an athlete, these players still meet the definition of "expatriates". The players I had add categories to, have already been confirmed to entry to Taiwan from teams, and are in isolationing for covid-19.I am not adding "Kaohsiung Aquas player", I am adding "Expatriate basketball people in Taiwan", it qualifying Taiwan's laws and definition of "expatriates". I have agreed with "Kaohsiung Aquas player" cannot be added before appeared in an OFFICIAL game years ago. It's like transaction is not complete without an official announcement (Special:Diff/1029213179). --寒吉 (talk) 16:42, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Please do not revert edits without discussion

You have added non-existent categories to a number of category pages, and when I removed those non-existent categories, you reverted my edits without any discussion. Please read the category do's and don'ts, and do not revert my edits. UnitedStatesian (talk) 23:07, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Why do I need to discuss with you before reverting yours edits, and conversely, why didn't you discuss with me before removing the categories I added. "Categories that do not exist. Either the category should be created, or else the non-existent category link should be removed or changed to one that exists." So who is wrong, no one is wrong. The categories I added I would create, So what answer are you trying to get by leaving this message? I don't get it at all.--寒吉 (talk) 04:49, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
The onus is on you to create the categories, before adding them. When do you plan on getting around to creating the non existent categories? I don't need any answer from you, I just need you to stop doing what you did. UnitedStatesian (talk) 05:03, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
To create a category, first add an article to that category. …Next, to create the category, click on that red link, which brings you back into the editor. "The onus is on you to create the categories, before adding them. "????? Why didn't you to stop doing what you did?--寒吉 (talk) 05:11, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
Since you do not seem to want to engage civilly, I am going to request that you be blocked from editing. UnitedStatesian (talk) 05:16, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
I follow Wikipedia editing guidelines and I'm called uncivilized? Big joke.--寒吉 (talk) 05:25, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
According to WP:REDNO, 寒吉, red links need to be removed or the category created AND the category needs to fit into the existing Wikipedia category structure. You can not fault UnitedStatesian for removing red links when they appear, I do this as well, if you believe a category exists, the onus is on you to create it and assign it parent categories so it fits into our category hierarchy. Do not edit war to maintain red links on any page, there is no justification for keeping them on pages once they are seen or reported in our Wanted Categories report.
This isn't a dispute that needs to spiral out-of-control. Just abide by policy and don't make this a battleground. Liz Read! Talk! 05:50, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
So I am creating the categories, what's wrong? "The categories I added I would create." I have already described above.--寒吉 (talk) 05:54, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Edit warring

I tried explaining this to you in the edit summary and requested the creation of new categories. You insisted on reverting and called it “vandalism” without even bothering to learn the situation surrounding the status of PR. Since you clearly have a history of edit warring, I am taking it to the admins. El Alternativo (talk) 15:42, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

@El Alternativo:
Above 25 articles were be placed in Category:Puerto Rican men's basketball players and Category:American expatriate basketball people in XXX (Category:American expatriate basketball people) . It didn't matter whether Puerto Ricans have sports sovereignty or not since the 1940s, Otherwise ,would you start a deletion discussion for Category:Sportspeople of insular areas of the United States by sport, because according to your point of view, Category:Puerto Rican sportspeople should not be placed in Category:American sportspeople, such category like Category:Sportspeople of insular areas of the United States by sport should not be existed. You can't ask me to create new categories, and I don't have the will to create categories related to Category:Puerto Rican expatriates. If you don't understand the meaning of categories on Wikipedia, please understand instead of editing like this. --寒吉 (talk) 16:33, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
I absolutely not miscategorizing. If I am miscategorizing , it mean Hmains miscreating categories like Category:Sportspeople of insular areas of the United States, make Category:Puerto Rican sportspeople be placed in Category:American sportspeople.--寒吉 (talk) 16:49, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
