Wikipedia has been having some server problems recently (the servers are slightly out of synchronisation, leading to database issues), so it isn't unusual to see messages like that. Try waiting the 5 seconds as the program says, and if that doesn't work, restart python and run the interwiki.py file again. Hope this helps. The server issues should be resolved soon.
