Speedy deletion of Nizar Elkhater edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Nizar Elkhater has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://www.nizarelkhater.com/about. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. signed, Rosguill talk 18:32, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

You started the page on en.wiki on July 12, 2023. I do want to also highlight some further concerns however: 1) you should have disclosed your connection to Elkhater prior to writing anything about him on en.wiki or he.wiki. 2) I’m concerned that the quality of the English you have written in articles is much higher than the quality of the English in your talk page responses; this suggests that you are copying the text from elsewhere, rather than writing it yourself. 3) In the event that your explanation does turn out to be correct despite the prior evidence, you should be concerned that the quality of your prose on Wikipedia is such that someone would think to use it for their personal publicity with no changes, as this means that you are not being sufficiently neutral in your writing. signed, Rosguill talk 14:00, 16 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
1) i didnt know about this role, I will study for next time. 2) When I write/translate an article I invest in the quality of my English more than in comments on talk pages. 3) If you return the article, I'd really appreciate it if you read it and help make sure it's neutral enough. 4) The page you linked to was created in March 2024, according to the Internet Archive. I would really appreciate it if you return the article and unblock me. I promise that I will learn to come forward and state any conflict of interest that I have, even if it is not a paid edit. good week! ס.ג'יבלי (talk) 07:41, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt here and have unblocked you and restored the page at Draft:Nizar Elkhater where you can continue to work on it. signed, Rosguill talk 13:26, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Very very thank you. I added new sources and deleted information that may not be encyclopedic enough. Could you please read the article again and give your opinion? ס.ג'יבלי (talk) 14:19, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
It looks ready for a formal review. As a matter of process, I'm going to decline to personally perform said review, and leave that to another new page reviewer once you have moved the article out of draft. Don't forget to disclose your COI on your talk page and the article's talk page first. signed, Rosguill talk 16:49, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
