Reply to your Articles for Creation Help Desk question on Michael Shuisky edit

Hello, Шуйская! I'm Huon. I have replied to your question on the Articles for Creation Help Desk about Michael Shuisky.
You can read it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk#Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Michael Shuisky. Huon (talk) 10:45, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Huon! Thank you for your help but it is still not working... [1]. I have a problem with references #5, 10, 12, 13 & 15. I"m trying to fix it but it still not working!!! Would you please just give me example for #5: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna_Volksoper. Thank you. Шуйская (talk) 02:50, 8 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

As I said at the AfC help desk, Wikipedia should not be used as a reference because it doesn't consider itself a reliable source. You should not cite our Vienna Volksoper article as a source, firstly for that reason, and secondly because that article doesn't mention Shuisky anyway and thus cannot be used to verify that Shuisky "was invited to sing on stage at the Theater "Volksoper" in Vienna". That said, the citation template code you used here on this page is correct except that the URLs for Wikipedia articles use underscores to denote spaces in the article titles; the Volksoper article is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna_Volksoper, not http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna Volksoper. I've fixed that detail here on this page and added a {{reflist}} so the footnote is displayed, and you can see it works. But again you should just use wikilinks to other Wikipedia articles (created by double square brackets around the article title, for example [[Vienna Volksoper]]), not footnotes.
On an unrelated note, many of your other references are so vague they're useless. Take for example "Newspaper, Vienna, 1912". Do you expect our readers to check a year's worth of all Viennese newspapers for confirmation? Which newspaper, what issue, what page, what's the relevant article's title? newspaper edit

Hello, Huon! Thank you for your help. My answer for your example of Reference 14 "Newspaper, Vienna, 1912" is:
you can read in the text:
VIENNA.[14]
“Neue Wiener Buehne”. Wohltaetigkeitsvorstellung bekannten Habeck Schueler. "Herr Michael Schuisky vom Linzer Stadttheater bot als Rigoletto ganz Hervorragendes ebenso in Aida, wo er den Amonasro gab, waerend Frau Fuuina Schuisky als Aida gesanglich und als Darstellerin fehr gutes Koennen zeigte."
The newspaper "New Viennese scene", "Sir Michael Shuisky of the Municipal Theatre in Linz as Rigoletto, and in the role of Amonasro in" Aida "as well, and his wife Yanina Shuysky performing as Aida, showed outstanding vocal performance." 23 September 1912.'"

Hello, Huon! I think I need eliminate all references about newspapers as I put all of information about them (names of newspapers and dates) with every quotation. I have got a family archive. There are the album with all of this press clippings with names of newspapers and dates. This album belonged to my grandfather Michael Shuisky. Sincerely, Шуйская (talk) 23:43, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Mikhail Shuysky (baritone) edit

Hello Шуйская, and many thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. I've moved your draft from Articles for creation into article space after doing some basic copy editing and cleanup. However, the article still needs considerable work, which I have outlined at Talk:Mikhail Shuysky (baritone)#Article issues. You are welcome to continue working on it, but as English does not appear to be your first language, I suggest that you wait until experienced copy-editors and editors from WikiProject Opera have worked on it first.

Hello, Voceditenore, many thanks. You were very kind move my draft into article space after doing some basic copy editing and cleanup. I'm only wondering: 1. For what reason spelling from Shuisky Michael was changed into Mikhail Shuisky? May I change it back? 2. For what reason names of all composers was disappeared from Opera roles? Could I write down them back? 3. Could be files into Opera roles smaller? If yes, how can I do it? Thank you so much for your help.121.98.217.63 (talk) 22:12, 25 September 2013 (UTC)121.98.217.63 (talk) 22:09, 25 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
