Incorrect diffing?

I created this huge mess while archiving with Archy McArchface. I wonder if there is any bug related to diffing when subthreads are used? Or something to do with edit conflicts? Best, --MarioGom (talk) 13:00, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi--don't know if I am doing this right. Went to Teahouse to get old difs, searched by user name and got this: https://tools.wmflabs.org/sigma/usersearch.py?name=Jenhawk777&page=Wikipedia%3ATeahouse&server=enwiki&max= It said I should tell you--so I am? Sorry if this is wrong! Jenhawk777 (talk) 21:26, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

That's quite alarming. Two suspicions immediately pop to mind:
  • the page was edited some time after you visited it, but before you started archiving
  • the page was edited some time after you started picking threads to archive, but before you archived them
That said I will try to investigate this at some point, and if I don't, email me to nag me to fix it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Σσς(Sigma) 10:00, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Requests for changes to User:Σ/Testing facility/Archiver

Hi! I use your script User:Σ/Testing facility/Archiver occasionally and it is really nice. However one weird thing about it is that whenever it is used, I need to manually add {{archives}} to the talk page and add {{talk archive}} to the archive page. Could you please change the script so that these two templates are automatically added? This would make it easier to use and reduce the chance of there being threads archived but the user (i.e. me) who does it forgetting these templates, making the archive hard to find.

Another request: could you please rename the option to use this in the "More" menu above articles to something more intuitive? Currently it is labeled "ØCA", which can be kind of confusing when I haven't used this script for a while; the name doesn't have any discernible meaning, and I am looking for an option named something like "Archive".

Thanks for this script, it is great! DemonDays64 (talk) 01:16, 26 March 2020 (UTC) (please ping on reply)

(talk page stalker) @DemonDays64: "ØCA" is for "One Click Archiver", I believe. In a way, ØCA is a minimalist script; you are expected to do some of the work yourself. guywan (talkcontribs) 15:46, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Suggestion: lowercase sigmabot shouldn't archive open edit requests

Here's an example of this happening: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:2019%E2%80%9320_coronavirus_pandemic&diff=947423377&oldid=947422659

From what I've heard, this has happened on other coronavirus-related articles as well due to the extremely low archive times. Ionmars10 (talk) 14:45, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

need section archived.

Hi. the talk page section beloww should already have been archived. I think that misszabot may have missed it, simply because the section is rather large. is it possible forr you to manually cause the bot to archive this section? I appreciate your help.

Thanks. --Sm8900 (talk) 02:57, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) @Sm8900: The size has nothing to do with it, it's the age. The {{User:MiszaBot/config}} has |algo=old(60d) so every timestamp must be at least 60 days ago; 60 days back from 31 March 2020 is 31 January 2020; but one post is timestamped 20:40, 1 February 2020 (UTC), which is (at present) approximately 58 days 11 hours ago. You should wait until 20:40, 1 April 2020 (UTC) at the earliest - that's Wednesday afternoon, U.S. time. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 07:38, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
ok that's terrific. thanks for the reply, @Redrose64:. --Sm8900 (talk) 17:26, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
And there you go. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 11:34, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
