- Again, if there's no better source then we'll restore the old information, even if it's outdated. If there have ben changes the ideal thing would be to include both the old and new info. For example, if someone was a senator, and then their term expires we don't simply delete their name. Instead we indicate that they were the senator for that period and that a new person has replaced them. Capiche? - Thanks for your reply. I appreciate that you've tried to be diligent with your efforts to compile the lists. It is a complicated issue for several reasons. First, there have been changes to the domains over time. Second, Rajas have multiple domains and often they are addressed with only one of their domains, for example when giving a report on that country's administration. However there are some lists. Here's a brief list, with only a single domain each, from 2006.[1] You can see entries like "His Highness Dr John Konhaus Raja of California", "His Highness Dr Tom Stanley Raja of Denver", and other sub-national domains. I believe were later replaced with national domains, but I haven't seen any source which says so. This PDF from 2010 includes a eulogy from each raja, and gives each raja's complete set of domains.[2] For example, "Raja Felix Kägi: Raja of Invincible Switzerland, Raja of Invincible Slovenia, Invincible Serbia, Invincible Albania, Invincible Liechtenstein, Invincible Malawi, Invincible Djibouti" or "Raja John Bright: Purusha Raja with Universal Domain". It's the best source available, and it's reasonably recent (the material may be a reprint from an earlier publication, though obviously after Maharishi's passing). - You make some interesting points. But the bottom line is that Wikipedia can only used published sources. Even if your list is the most accurate and up to date available, which I'm sure it is, it still can't be used. See WP:V and especially WP:SPS. If you can get your list published, either in a movement newsletter or a mainstream newspaper, etc., then we could use it.
- After reading your replies it occurs to me that it might make sense to split out the 2004 list from the 2010 list, and simply give them one after the other. We do something similar for list of state governors or legislators. Then if we get a newer list we can simply add it.
- One issue that is unclear to me is the extent to which "raja" is purely an organizational role, and to what extent it is also a general status, like governor or sidhi. In other words, would a person still be a raja even if they had no domain or other active responsibility? It appears to me that they would not be, and that "raja" is equivalent to "bishop" or "regional manager". Any thoughts?
