Your draft article, Draft:Stalin tunic edit

Hello, Ανδρέας Κρυστάλλης. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Stalin tunic".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! HawkAussie (talk) 23:03, 18 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sergi Barjuán edit

OK, let's go bit by bit:

1 - intro, it's past stuff first and current one later OK (so, "...is a former footballer and a manager...")? 2 - he was not a stopper and neither was Albert Ferrer. What happens is that Cruyff was crazy (not meaning it as an insult) and he often played with two defenders, but the stoppers in that team were the likes of Miguel Ángel Nadal, Nando, not tiny guys like Sergi or Ferrer.

What you could do is add a reference in storyline while mentioning he played rarely in a two-man defence. Please leave article currently (before your source) as it is, to avoid edit wars that might get us both in trouble.

Attentively, from Portugal --Quite A Character (talk) 03:29, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • OK, we can remove the last "is" in the intro, i'll take care of that. About his playing time, no doubt I misunderstood, confusing Cruyff with Rexach/Serra Ferrer.

Cheers, happy editing/weekend --Quite A Character (talk) 09:17, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Can we please (please, PLEASE) reach a compromise? No it's not "bad English" as you said in one of your summaries, it's just a different approach, one i have tried in hundreds of articles without any problems and/or reversion; plus, in my version, no need to say "football"/"footballer" more than once.

In Mr. Barjuán, i have reached said compromise and removed the second "is", hopefully that the end of the edit war. Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 20:58, 9 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Your last "correction" at Cosmin Contra resulted in the following sentence: "...is a Romanian former footballer and manager, currently in charge manager of Romania.". I have already reached a compromise by removing the second "is" in the intro, PLEASE stop and leave intro as it is.

Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 21:30, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Per your last message, in the meantime reverted by yourself: of course i disagree with the wording (i avoid including "current" and other recentisms in the intro), and never had any problems with my preferred version(s) until now (would very much like to know, without any know-it-all approach, where's the grammatical error in a sentence like "Sergi Barjuán Esclusa (born 28 December 1971), known simply as Sergi, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a left back, and a manager (or "and the manager of X club").". Of course, not going to create an edit war over this, sorry for any inconvenience.

Happy Saturday --Quite A Character (talk) 17:52, 23 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Simone Inzaghi edit

Please allow the current version to remain (PLEASE?), personal life goes in the end and not beginning. Also, the refs you added for his tactical formation are nothing but match sheets. We also don't write "...has been a manager of (club) since (year)" in intro OK?

Merry Christmas from Portugal --Quite A Character (talk) 20:22, 22 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I tried it once again (i apologise for removing the tactical formations, but then i reinstated them in the proper section, not intro!), of course now you will re-revert? Pray do tell, why is this article different from any other managers? If this edit war continues, we will most likely be blocked. --Quite A Character (talk) 20:29, 22 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Ah, and if you want to discuss removals, i added his accolades won as Lazio manager in intro, you removed them. --Quite A Character (talk) 20:31, 22 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Improved display of four UEFA.com related sources, you reverted that, added author(s) to some refs you did not allow and reverted, added a SOURCE to the honours section (great Lazio win, and yes, i'm Portuguese but simply adored watching the egotistic prima donna Ronaldo get beat), you reverted that as well, what on earth!! Don't worry, will not be bothered to edit in article any more, and am even contemplating retirement.

Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 21:35, 22 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Such vulgar display of power (talking about the message from that Bosnian lowlife), even though i'll profit from the occasion to inform not all sites display the same position for a player, which makes it all the more confusion (that being said, i have no idea which is Mr. Lulic's primary position, LOL!)

An end-of-the-year question to you now, if i may: do i have your permission to edit in Mr. Inzaghi's article? Don't worry, if i edit there i'll leave the intro some of you folks (not all, not all) seem to like, that one where you needlessly say "manager" twice.

Happy 2020, take care --Quite A Character (talk) 23:52, 29 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Very good and complete reasoning (i.e. Maradona being much more as a player than a manager, his intro should reflect that), but i beg to differ kind fellow user, to me intros on current coaches/former players should ALWAYS be written in the same fashion (Mourinho, Cruyff, Maradona, the lot, the only difference must reside on whether the subject is alive or not). Your opinion is different, but we are always respectful to each other and interact as we should, peacefully.

That being said, sure, i'll help out whenever you ask it of me, to the best of my abilities --Quite A Character (talk) 18:14, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Juan Esnaider edit

Sorry about the stupid blanket revert (sincerely), reinstated (but i think ref about Juventus looks better in storyline than intro, hardly played there).

Now, for two favours: 1 - please, don't edit in article for next 30 minutes to avoid edit conflicts, i'm improving display of all sources (authors, etc); 2 - can you please (PLEASE!) allow for my preferred intro regarding players turned managers?

Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 01:26, 8 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Done! I reinstated him playing for Juventus in intro (and much much more, also his coaching career), but without the "giants" and the ref (that, i repeat, in storyline proper, i profit from this to tell you that intros do not necessarily have to be ref'd), and improved/matched display of all sources (adding brand new one for his actual signing for Madrid). You will certainly agree with 99,9999999999999% of the changes/adjustments thus, can you be a sport and compromise with me in the player/manager part of intro please?

Have a nice (rest of) week! --Quite A Character (talk) 02:05, 8 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

January 2021 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Greece. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. ‡ Єl Cid of Valencia talk 17:13, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

December 2022 edit

Hi Ανδρέας Κρυστάλλης! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Eva Kaili that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Your edit to Eva Kaili changed the meaning, so it was not a minor edit. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 19:50, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also.
