Pavel Pantelimonovich Luk’ianenko was a Soviet plant breeder in the era of pseudo-scientific Lysenkoism. He was responsible for developing wheat varieties with specific traits in the USSR, including internationally recognized high-yielding varieties. His work continued from previous Soviet genetic-based research despite Lysenkoism's politically established status.
