ONAVIVI VILLAGE

Onavivi is a village in Omusati Region situated at the westside of Otapi town.Onavivi village is approximately 10 kilometer away from Outapi Town .It is situated at the middle of the road that goes from Outapi to Epalela.It is just between Outapi and Epalela.The village is a well developed village because The village members has access to clean water at list most of The members they have their own tap in their house. The village members they also have access to medical because there is a clinic called Omahenene Clinic.[1]

Aquaculture

The village is not really big,but it is having many advantages.The village is also well known because the is a place in that village called Omahenene where there is a Fish Farming called Omahenene Aquaculture.Where they farm fish and sell fish people nearby and all over namibia.The Omahenene Aquaculture is important to people from Onavivi village because it employ people of that village and also people nearby.People from Onavivi village they are no more going to town to look for job they just look for job in their village.[2]

At that part of Onavivi village that is called Omahenene there is a project called Woman Action for Development which stand for "Woman Action for Development.This project is for empowering woman.They train women from Onavivi village how to sewing and once they are done with their training they are given the certificate.After that the door is open for the women to start their own business with the experience they get from their training.WAD is very important to that village because it is self employment.[3]

Agriculture Department

This department has much contribution to the village's development, it has a project for livestock production whereby different animal species are being bred. It also has mahangu development whereby this kind of plant is plant and sold to the community and elsewhere,small plant species production such ground Babara nuts and other plants that are yearly plant, rain doesn't really the plant production because different watering methods/techniques has been developed since it was launched, to save plant lives during drought season.[4]
