Species of Ducks in the Okanagan[2] edit

A species of Ducks which is commonly seen at UBC Okanagan

The Species of ducks in Kelowna[3], BC, come in variety of colors which can help indicate their species. The Bufflehead Male duck[4] is a great example, as it has a unique white and black pattern on it's head. Whereas the females are lacking in the colors. This duck is the smallest of the ducks here in Kelowna, yet they have the most impressive diving skills.

Food for the Ducks edit

Ducks in this region often eat small insects, small species of fish, and many other micro-organisms and biofilm[5]. This diet keeps the ducks healthy and ready for migration south in the colder winters.
