He played college football at Georgia and was voted Second Team All-SEC his senior season. He also played football at Henry Grady High School where his legacy started, coached by Ronnie Millen. Damian was an Army All American,Sporting News Top 100, SuperP rep All-America and All-Dixie teams, PrepStar Dream Team 150, ESPN.com #9 Athlete, #76 overall prospect,Rivals.com Four Star Player, #3 Safety, #47 overall prospect, #5 overall prospect in Georgia, Scout.com Four Star Player, #9 Safety, Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super 11 Team, #12 overall prospect in Georgia, Class AAA All State Defensive Team, and Georgia Sports Writers Association Class AAA All State Defensive Team. Damian started all four years in high school on defense, offense, and special teams. As a junior he recorded 800 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns, 30 tackles and 4 interceptions with one defensive touchdown. According to Georgia Bulldogs[7]in 2011 "he Appeared in 11 games making one start recording five tackles and three tackles, including one for a loss, vs. New Mexico State. In 2012 he Appeared in 14 games making 14 starts, and led the team with four interceptions. He was also named "Most Improved Player on defense" at the conclusion of spring practice after being Recipient of the Virginia & Kenneth McCall Football Scholarship. The following season he was named one of the team captains for the game against LSU. -2014 Damian's last year with the Georgia Bulldogs he was awarded "Phil Steele’s Second Team All-SEC" he played in 12 games making 12 starts,65 total tackles, fourth most on the team, and four interceptions. He was later selected in the NFL draft of 2015, picked 31st in the 5th round, 167 overall. New Orleans Saints rookie cornerback Damian Swann (38) intercepts a pass intended for Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jeremy Butler, appearing in his first NFL preseason game.
