Chemgota, officially known as the Republic of Chemgota is an unrecognised partially fictional separatist micronation located in the Russian Far East. Founded by Igor Elmpt who is the founding father and the President of the country.[1] It claims the entirety of the Magadan Oblast, along with Kamchatka Krai and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug with claims to the eastern half of the Sakha Republic including Yakutsk, and the northern half of Khabarovsk Krai. Chemgota has claimed over 380 individuals who either claim citizenship or support the country as "trustworthy and patriotic sympathisers of the Republic."^ Chemgota is not acknowledged by any intergovernmental, subdivisional or national entity. With the vast majority of its recognition being gained either from the internet or through local compassion. Chemgotan political actions and other related activities are vastly limited to the internet. Chemgota has its own currency, namely the Chemgotan Dinar, although proper distributed currency must be obtained, the current Chemgotan economy is highly focused on trading goods and necessities.

History edit

The micronation was established on August 12, 2018 by its founding father Igor Elmpt along with his colleagues who established the first term of cabinet which worked on working on the governmental structure, constitution, laws and other nation-building assets in order to assert legitimate claim over the claimed regions designated by the Chemgotan government, by 2020, the constitution was written and the governmental organs and laws were established and made legitimatised within Chemgotan jurisdiction, both national and international.

Chemgota has also built diplomatic relations with other micronations, notably Vanistan, Kingdom of Yakutia, Republic of Kingston and Molossia. Chemgota states that its key focus is to further engage in diplomatic affairs and negotiations with other micronations in order to consolidate its fundamentalism.
