The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) will be a professional men's soccer league in the United States that will begin its inaugural season in 2018.[1]

History edit

On June 6th, 2017 it was announced that the newly formed National Independent Soccer Association would begin play in 2018 targeting an initial 8 to 10 teams, later revised to 8 to 12 teams.[2] The league has outlined plans to introduce a promotion/relegation system, the first in professional US soccer and in doing so act as a feeder to the North American Soccer League. [3]
