William Michael Hanks is a Writer-Producer of documentary motion pictures. He has worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Public Broadcasting System (PBS). His film "The Apollo File" won the Gold Medal at the Festival of the Americas. He has written and produced several hundred film and television programs ranging from commercials to public information, environmental, and social action documentaries. His films for NASA were translated into 126 languages for worldwide distribution by the U. S. Information Agency (USIA). He currently contributes to The Rag Blog, an influential Internet news magazine with an extensive progressive following.
