Why I'm Here

edit

As someone who's passionate about smartphones and mobile technology, it has been impossible to miss Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, over the past couple years. His watermark has become ubiquitous across countless leaked images and information of unannounced mobile devices, attaining an astonishing level of accuracy that was unparalleled in the tech industry.

In researching @evleaks, I found his original Wikipedia page to be a surprisingly biased entry that was written almost entirely by an editor with a clear conflict of interest. Although I had never before edited a Wikipedia article, I decided to join for the specific purpose of contributing a more balanced article, beginning with the removal of the biased entry. For doing this, I was shockingly attacked by @evleaks, himself (see here).

The original @evleaks article was removed, and has since been replaced by a much more balanced article on Evan Blass. Nonetheless, User:EvanBlass himself continues to be a primary contributor to his own page, alongside his friend(s). Despite my interaction with @evleaks, I continue to be dedicated in good faith to helping maintain the integrity of the article, protecting it from bias and distorted information to the best of my ability.

Why Else I'm Here

edit

No other reason than to contribute to the Evan Blass article. (At least not yet--I may find other articles I wish to contribute to in the future.) This has resulted in an allegation of sockpuppetry, but as far as I'm aware there is no rule at Wikipedia against joining for the sole purpose of one article.

Update: On 2014-12-11, an accusation of sockpuppetry was submitted for investigation by EvanBlass, himself. A CheckUser test was conducted and found no relation between the alleged "sockmaster" (Mhannigan) and "sockpuppet" (me). The investigation was closed on 2014-12-18 and I have been exonerated of the claim. For more information, see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mhannigan. I will continue contributing to the Evan Blass article in good faith.
