Hi. John here, usually known as Bill as in Bill of Rights.

Live in small city called Whangarei in Northern New Zealand. Whangarei is a Maori word, pronounced, wong~g~array (the inflection is exactly as in "bombs away").

I have been in and worked in every continent in the world. Got nothing but knowledge and memories to show for all my travel, but have surely planted roots here in Whangarei.

Speak some French, some Japanese. Can order a beer and say hello in dozens of languages. It is my party trick whenever I meet someone with an accent. I try to make every visitor to New Zealand very welcome by greeting them in what I guess to be their native language. The response is always fun and friendly.

I have made a lot of spelling corrections over the years to Wikipedia, though I don't think I have changed anyone's meaning. So I thought it was time to be accountable for my changes, and get myself a user page.
