Mr. Borden was born in Providence, Rhode Island in February 19, 1950, and graduated from East Providence High School in Rhode Island in the class of 1967. He joined the United States Coast Guard in January of 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1973. Mr. Borden attended undergraduate studies at The Rhode Island School of Design and The University of Rhode Island. He also achieved a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) form the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Borden currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for American Capital Energy, Inc. of Lawrence Massachusetts and is focused on commercial and utility scale solar project development. Previously he served as Managing Director Asia Pacific and CEO of the company’s joint venture company ICE Solar Private Limited in India. Mr. Borden has considerable energy industry experience and is an influential part of the ACE management team, helping to build one of the largest solar integration companies in the United States. Prior to ACE, Mr. Borden had a successful career in business development and corporate management serving as Chief Executive Officer for Data Products Corporation; Executive Vice President for Exploria, Inc. and Vice President, Sales & Marketing for SourceOne Worldwide, Inc. a Harry Gray company.
