Sam Calhoun (February 7, 1980) is a graduate student at Mississippi State University pursueing a Master's in Geosciences with a major in Operational Meteorology and a minor in Remote Sensing/GIS.
Interests/Hobbies edit
My interests include mesoscale and tropical meteorology, nowcasting, climatology, and the urban environment (particularly flooding).
Other hobbies of mine include hiking, cycling, collecting petrified wood and rocks in general, writing poetry, horticulture , photography and camping. I am a certified storm spotter, master gardener (still working on clocking volunteer hours for this), and I'm studying for my first ham radio license.
